Research on the Experience and Needs of Parkinson¡¯s Patients

Abstract
In this study, 10 patients with Parkinson¡¯s disease were interviewed using grounded theory and the necessary factors of Parkinson¡¯s patients were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the causal condition were ¡®magnetic personality¡¯, The contextual conditions were ¡®distrust of the doctor¡¯, ¡®side effect of medication¡¯, and ¡®economic burden¡¯. The phenomena were ¡®negative psychology¡¯, ¡®physical discomfort¡¯, and ¡®social relation¡¯. The intervening conditions were ¡®regularization of medication¡¯, ¡®making everyday of exercise¡¯, ¡®alternative medicine¡¯, ¡®support of the caregiver¡¯, ¡®support of the meeting¡¯. The reactions were ¡®repetitive routine¡¯. The result was ¡®accept¡¯, and ¡®hope¡¯. In addition, research participants showed the need for factors such as body, psychology, caregiver, and meeting. Based on the results of this study, it is important to understand the patients with Parkinson¡¯s disease and to suggest various practical methods to improve their quality of life.
